Hello,
I noticed my 8250 only retains SET SCREEN/ADJUST configuration until I power off, so I guess the battery is most likely dead. Since my screen falls a bit off the left side of my monitor, it'd be nice if the thing would remember my settings...

Before I open the thing up and mess about,
- is it in a hard to reach spot? Do I need to get soldering?
- what kind of battery would be best to replace it with? Any experience?

Thanks Smile

You have to remove the cover and the diskdrivebay + frontpanel (it is possible to cut the batteryclips, so you dont have to remove the motherboard)

This is the battery used:

Thanks for your reply!
So some (easy) soldering required I guess.
I've never seen one shaped like this, do you know if they're still manufactured and for sale anywhere?

You can try this battery but i suggest to get a battery holder with this one.

Did it work with the proposed battery?

I do not think it's a good idea to replace a rechargeable battery by a button cell.

Why not? The proposed battery is a rechargeable button cell. With which battery should it then be replaced?

I think the charger should be suitable for the type of battery used (Ni-cd, alkaline, Ni-MH, LI-ion, etc)

What kind of battery should be used then to replace the existing one in the Philips NMS-82x0?

Is there no-one who has replaced this battery yet? If you did replace it, for what kind of battery did you replace it?

The model of the Sanyo Cadnica isn't on the market anymore.
I replace it by a MinMax Part no. 01.51.509 Ni-MH 3,6 Volt 120 mAh
They searched it for me as a replacement for the Sanyo battery.
Looks the same and the capacity is higher.
