They also have an interesting wifi module which seems to support some sort of AT command set.
Pretty cool stuff!

Actually I’d be even more interested in a WiFi cartridge...

Wifi sounds cool! Then we can make a nice Wifi Icon in SymbOS Big smile
Currently i'm using already a Wifi Adapter on my DenyoNet (The Level1 WAP3000 Brigde).

I think i is important when developing a new network card it would be wise to have a chip with a own TCP/IP stack.
Best to have it compatible with the W5100 chip. Maybe one with a bigger buffer.
That's saves a lot of CPU power on the Z80.

Would there be a chance that the DenYonet is produced again ? And maybe the designers could take a second look at it and make it with a better buffer and ip stack ?
I agree with edoz and Grauw, i would order one to.

So, try to contact the designers, Yobi (Jos van den Biggelaar) and Dennis (Koller). They were both on the Nijmegen fair, by the way...

I just found that we can use a generic wifi sd card; it will require some hacking but It has already been done:

It would be a very good solution because they can be plugged to both micro sd and compact flash slots with an adaptor.

I am getting this one plus a couple of adaptors:

wish me luck.

Indeed it is possible to support simultaneously regular access to sd card with existing drivers in MSX,
and then access wi-fi functionality in the card through extended CMD48/CMD49 spi commands,
somebody did a proof of concept already.

If somebody has the knowhow, why not start a kickstarter. Doesn't have to be big scale, but there'd be buyers in advance.
I'd be the first to fund.

A bit off-topic but quick question: has anybody already been able to use a WiFi SDCard to access MSX files from PC ? I tried that a while ago with a SanDisk Eye-Fi card with no success...
Avoiding to exchange SDCard between PC & MSX during dev would be so cool !
