Works perfectly on my MSX 2+ (HB-F1XDJ) in 60Hz mode!
Maybe the joystick "B" button could be mapped to the "restart" option ?

How about supporting the HW scroll on V9958? Big smile (No moving borders for free!)

It should be matter of writing r27 instead of r18 and to set bit 1 in r25

I just released anew version of Transball (v1.3). Thanks to ARTRAG, the game now has even better smooth scroll if an MSX2+ is detected (you can toggle the MSX1/MSX2/MSX2+ scroll modes from the main menu pressing '6', '7' or '8').

Small video showing off the new scroll: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qzt6gVsL9W0

And downloadable ROMS: https://github.com/santiontanon/transballmsx/releases/tag/1.3

Very cool! Well done!
Now it is ready for a cartridge version.

Cool game! But hard as hell (^^!)... too much speed/inertia (edit: at least, comparing to other games of its kind I've seen)

True but think that it could be even worst than this. Now the ship is not affected by the attraction of the ball.
In a more accurate model, you should introduce reciprocal attraction between the two objects (in addition to gravity).
Think what would it be when the ball get stuck somewhere and you are attracted by it....

In Zarathustra, the two objects are linked by a solid stick, so they move and rotate as a single item where you can control direction and rotation only by the trust applied to one ending of the stick...
A nightmare...

It always could be worst! LOL!

But the point is getting something challenging and fun, not a nightmare to play Wink

hahaha, is it that hard?!! perhaps it looks easier to me since I've played it (and all the previous versions I made for PC many years ago) to exhaustion for testing all the levels during development Smile

But indeed, Zarathrusta (one of my favorite games for Amiga btw!) was indeed harder! To make it easier, they had checkpoints half-wy through levels where you could restart if you died, but even with those, since levels were HUGE, it was still very very hard!
