all of the above
@andrea.denara Never heard of M-Type before. It´s really fast and quite hard (as a R-Type clone should be).
For Me QBERT from SG1000 (just try SG2MSX with PCEFAN Pack 001)

I want to see Qbert for MSX with Better Color Sprites and the Funny Arcade Voices. Just Dreaming too.

Nemesis 3, Parodius, R-Type: Smooth scroll and enhanced colors for MSX2
Fernando Martin Basket Master Executive version: Sprites on MSX1, MSX2 version but screen 5
Green Beret: Good MSX1 version, MSX2 version with smooth scroll and enhanced colors
Rastan Saga: Arcade version, that means, smooth scroll (Space Mambo alike), multicolor sprites, FM music
Rastan Saga is a classic when we talk about "games to improve". However original arcade is really hard to port, in best case I think in a MSX2+ version similar to Master System one.
The enemies in Rasyan Saga could be improved easily.
It is a nice case where the ai program developed by NYYRIKKI to separate code by data could be used
I think that to improve Rastan the best way should be the hard way: make it from scratch (like Green Beret). I think that MSX2 version is not bad at all, but to get a better version I'd point to MSX2+:
- Smooth scroll
- Improved sprites
- MSX-Music
Really a hard work.

smooth scroll can be done on screen 5 with ARTRAG (c) technique.
Improved sprites - yes but they flicker a lot
Xanadu msx2: that game was made so horribly wrong and the essence of the game is so good it really needs a enhancement.
Greet Beret: 'nough said
Eggerland 2: why is there no level editor in a game that would benefit so much from one...
Valis 1: that game was shortened so much (levels, demos etc) it doesn't do the game justice
Thexder: also a shortened game compared to other versions
Columns: no 2 player mode?
Legend of Heroes 2: Couldn't that be made with the engine from DS6?
Gr3: fits in so well with the gradius MSX storyline it's a shame its not on msx, but only a java game.
@Axelstone: Better sprites : easy work, use soft sprites
