Sometime ago, someone posted an interesting way of reducing sprite flickerking. I'd love to see that routine implemented in games like Golvellius (IMHO one of the best MSX1 games) or Flicky.

Alexito, there's also the Colecovision version of Q*Bert you can play on MSX using MISSION emulator.
Pretty cool version, maybe even better than the one for SG-1000... no voices either, though.
Yes, Colecovision version has better background (tiles) colors and improved SFX but I'm craving for a better version that bring me some memories about MSX version of Fuzzball from ByteBusters - 1986.
What about an MSX2 version of Elite, with filled polygons and turbo support?
There are also a lot of great ZX-Spectrum games that were terribly ported to the MSX1. Enhanced and well behaved ports to the MSX2 (like Batman, HoH and Knight Lore) will be always welcome!
An MSX2+ version of Astro Marine Corps with smooth scroll and FM music would be awesome, i.e.
Why not starting with something simpler? Soft Sprites in Rastan could be a relatively doable patch, the rest of the proposals are about redeveloping games from scratch.
Elite in screen 5 is another nice possibility, but I would keep graphics wireframe to boost the framerate
I suggest games that lacks in msx list:
Rainbow Island
Impossible Mission
Prince of Persia
Spindizzy
and many funny platform games with smooth scroll (some are in develop like Super Mario and Ghost & Goblins but we have a lot of shooter and a few of platform).
Also think that many games can become much better with small and simple improvements. For example: change key assignment, adding joypad support, fixing slot selection or improve a bit the speed.

I agree small and simple improvements are the easy way. That is why i have done some quick patches in the past (xenon, franky ports,sg2msx patches)
"Hyper sport 1" has no classic Konami font for example
and many Konamy's games has the choose selection keyboard\joystick.
(I've a bartop and some games require keyboard only to start)
Herzog speed/lag improvement by taking advantage of R800 / Pana MSX2+ / 7Mhz turbo?
Maggoo's suggestions sound interesting as well
Also a screen 5 version of Rollerball might be cool.
Speaking of which: This also would be awesome: https://youtu.be/GIdAJuLidsc
Don't know anything about ball physic tho oO
