suggestions for Barunba ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vo7L6JrU1MA ):
- a cartridge rom version
- a msx1 version (even looking like an msx1 game, this game is actually an msx2 game, isn’t it?)
- a palette-optimized version for msx2 (using the pc-engine palette perhaps? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7UiFkcyPVM )

i’m curious to know how fine Shaolin’s Road would look on MSX (whatever MSX1 or MSX2)
- zx-spectrum version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsMuMkgvJLg (game code might be based from there?)
- original arcade version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onAYf88NW_U
- amstrad version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hdsgIJfek8

and what about Pinball Dreams, perhaps based on Game Gear version? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uxtj6ZW3eIw (an msx1 version of this game would be really great)

back again about using Konami’s character set on Hyper Sports 1 and Super Cobra, i tried to use the code at https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/software/msx1-printing-ch... before loading these games converted to .cas, and it didn’t work (which surprised me, since i though that was the method i used 30 years ago! :D ) - perhaps we might need to disassemble these games for finding how does them get the character set from bios (perhaps calling ldirvm?) and replace it with an address from the cartridge?

I think you can't find a call to set chars. Simply cause they use default set char.
The char set has to be defined and a call need to be add in some parts of the code.

I wonder if there is a way to convert the Sega Master System version to MSX2/"+/TR...

Is it possibile (in some way)?

If talking about bubble bobble; then please fix some of the special items that don't work or add the ones that are missing...

With the MSX Turbo-Rs, CIEL ExpertTurbo/Expert3. Also, I have teamed with FB-Labs and we released a turbo kit for the Sanyo MSX2+ models that:

- Boosts the speed to 7.16MHz
- Can access de VRAM with the turbo enabled. This means the CPU<->VRAM throughput is nearly doubled. Its a dream for games. This allows excellent performance in Tales of Popolon, Red Zone and many others.
- Doesn't distort the PSG, FM or SCC sound pitch.
- Adds the CHGCPU/GETCPU functions to the BIOS

We'll upgrade the board to be used in Panasonic MSX2+ machines too. In those machines, it will be able to:
- Bi-turbo: 5.37MHz or 10.74MHz
- Fix the PSG sound pitch. No distortion will happen anymore
- Speed up the VRAM throughput. Not as fast as the Sanyo machines with the turbo kit, but around 50% faster than a standard MSX2+
- In our preliminary tests, the Panasonic FS-A1WX at 10.74MHz was able to match the Turbo-R Speed when running RedZone, because of the way faster VRAM access speed.

I wonder what happened with the Turbokits? Are they for sale somewhere? What is the status of these projects?

Indeed, the Panasonic turbo kit seems quite impressive...
