preorder of "Prisoner of War"

The MSX game "Prisoner of War" can now be preordered.

"Prisoner of War" is a stealth/action game for MSX1 from the creator of Ghost and music from WYZ and Gryzor87, where you have to escape from a military base. It's available in English (Prisoner of War) and Spanish (Prisionero de Guerra).

If you preorder it before the 15th of November, you will receive the game and... a special extra ;-)
You can choose to receive it at home before Christmas, or be given it by hand at the 54th RUMSX in Barcelona the 19th of January 2019.

Exactly what I was thinking. What strikes me the most are the excellent graphics. Very clear and bright (the MSX2 palette helped here as well, I guess) and the game speed is really fast and responsive, looking at that video.

How is the effect @ 1:37 done (blue fading in and fading out like that) ?
I'm pretty sure MSX1 has only 16 colors...

Probably just an added video effect to illustrate the enemy sentries' line of sight, and not actually in the game.

@JohnHassink Pity... But that should've been obvious. Silly me.
Still, when you see what the C64 demo scene manages to squeeze out of an even older machine (Booze Design's "Uncensored" demo springs to mind) it makes one wonder why the MSX can't do that kind of tricks.

But that's another topic.

Yesterday I received my copy of 'Prisoner of War'! What a great christmas 'gift' and what a great game. Super graphics, super sounds/music and very smooth game-play. I have a lot of joy playing it. Super! Also thankx for the personalized gift. The package is also very well designed and produced. Like the first personalized page of the manual. Good work Fransico and MATRA team!

I've started to play today and I can only confirm that it is another masterpiece...
The gameplay is smooth and the progression perfectly balanced. The plot is intriguing and full of possibilities.
I'm still at floor 2 of the base but I have to say that this game is a must have for anyone who has loved Metal Gear.

Ciao Arturo,

You have to dodge the big boxes dropped by the helicopter and shoot to it like a mad with your gun (don't worry for the ammunitions, the wooden boxes on the ground contains ammunitions)
Not too difficult, beated at the the first attempt

My problem was that the path was blocked by the crates after having killed the boss
But they disappear if you leave the room for a while

Bought this game in Nijmegen, not sure how far i am but, this game is a must have for Metal Gear players. Superb work! Does anyone know how much memory the ROM is for this game, seems packed!?
