Converting MSX2+ RGB output to HDMI signal -- How?

Someone else was recommending OSSC to me. It's assuring that you also recommend it. It's a bit on the pricey side, but if it works, then I will save up for it. Thanks! I already have the MSX RGB-to-SCART cable and Elgato capture device -- I'm only missing the thing that would convert the RGB/SCART output to HDMI signal. OSSC seems to be the solution for me.

I got these. I use it in combo with a tR, but it works with any Panasonic or MSX in general. My Elgato HD60S likes the output of the converter.
It has a 3.5mm jack output which can easily be converted to an input so you can route audio from a mixer. I did that and disconnected the audio of the scart to avoid MSX noise in the audio.

That looks like the same as I have (rebranding one way or the other). Here is a picture of the delay. Right is the MSX, left is through scart splitter, hdmi converter, elgato device:

This delay hardly noticable.

My biggest problem with the cheap Chinese RGB-SCART -> HDMI converters is that they introduced weird deinterlacing artifacts on moving surfaces. This is because these cheap converters were built for 480i (from VCRs) and not for 240p (from game consoles). The OSSC does not have this deinterlacing problem, also has no latency, and provides a superbly sharp image with optional scanlines.

But it comes at a cost, of course. If you just want to have working video and don’t care so much about these things (yet), you could just go for the cheap Chinese one, they’re affordable enough that if you decide to buy an OSSC later you won’t have lost a lot of money (and you can still use it as a spare).

This site says it works fine but this site says it doesn't work. It would be nice to know why.
