Dear all,

Happy new year. Here is my single PSG cover of the great Konami's Salamander ST arcade. Hope you like as much I enjoyed doing it. You will notice some plop´+click ramdomly but, hey, c'est pas ma faute.

That's pretty cool (again)!

Can you tell something about how you did these? I suppose some SCC to PSG conversion tool lies @ the base, or is it all manual work? These load & play in WYZtracker?

I can imagine how rich a dual PSG version could sound

Well, Few days ago I completed 2 more songs from Life Force so I decided to upload the result. I'm convering the whole OST to PSG from year ago depending of my real life.

This is a complete manual work with the next list of tools:

Bridge Arcade sound Player
WYZTracker/WYZPlayer(Mod)
AsMSX as ROM compiler (*)
OpenMSX Toshiba HX-10 or HX-21 (I'm a very proud owner own this MSX) config. as Player & Recorder

This is not SCC related version of MSX Salamander but a long time of listening from the original Arcade so the sound is not exactly the same but very close. isn't it? :)
I added my personal way to work with with PSG, nor better nor worst than others, only my way of manage the chip capabilities and personal likes.

The challenge is to use a single PSG, i do not know if 2 PSG can improve the quality but I'm sure that MSX SCC versions are far away from I reached and probably are the best arround there.

(*) All this ROM are available.

Is it me, or is the lead melody quite soft compared to the bass?
