Need help from someone that beat Xak 2

I am in the Yonder forest... I cannot gain a level past 27.. cant kill any of the badguys in the area much less the boss which i got to by running away from everything.

The monsters stopped giving me experience in the first area so Im not sure if the Yonder forest monsters give me XP.

How the heck do I beat the first boss in the cave of the yonder forest? Must I do it on level 27? Or can I rise to level 28 by killing the enemies in the cave (going to be tough)

Perhaps just your Karma is full. Go to the church if it is. Otherwise you can't get any more experience. You can level up quite a bit with those frogs IIRC but that was a long time ago. Need to take some time and go through the game again

Wow, had no Idea about the Karma element. You are a life saver. Wow... just wow... Wonder how my Karma went up? All the beasts I killed seemed like they were attacking me.. In Hydlide your Karma goes up when you kill innocent creatures thats it.

In Xak 2 every creature you kill gives you Karma.
