What is the best game/demo or 2-player-game to show to a non-MSX friend?

Witch's Revenge can be quite fun to play with up to 4 players!
It's turn-based though.

I wouldn't be able to impress or interest a friend that has never seen MSX games. Anyone that would be, would be an 8-bit co-nerd, and 8-bit co-nerds that never heard of MSX don't exist. Tongue

My solution to that? Just play silly fun games, such as Rotors.

Actually, I've encountered some. Dutch ones, even! Smile

They went to-tal-ly bananas upon seeing MSX versions of their NES favorites like Vampire Killer, Metal Gear and Contra, even if it wouldn't scroll, as well as games/franchises they'd never heard of like Aleste, Space Manbow, Fantasm Soldier, Ys and Xak. Big smile

But you're right - as long the game is really addictive and fun, you don't need fancy graphics etc. and you can play all night. Wink

Well, there are simple but fun games like:

- Animal Wars
- Dungeon Master (for 3 players)
- Konami sports games (Soccer, Tennis, Boxing, Ping Pong)
- Pairs

Animal Wars? Question

Can someone tell me more about that?
It's not on Generation MSX or certain other sites.

Or do you perhaps mean Penguin Kun Wars (a.k.a. Altler Wars)?

If you would, you can, no problem. We can even make a gaming weekend out of it with other 8-bit crazies.
It happens all the time here. Smile
