What is the best game/demo or 2-player-game to show to a non-MSX friend?

I also remember long nights playing a game found on a Disk Station or MSX-Fan magazine...
It was a 3 player game, very simple. A terrain and the players on top. Each one could throw bombs left or right, destroying everything...
I think it was called Bombkura or something like this... anyone remembers it?

OMG. How could I forget...

Quite some years ago already, a bunch of ('amateur' - doesn't mean 'bad' as we, MSX fans, already know) Japanese developers called 'Delta-Z' distilled (God knows from where) a full bottle of:

100%.
Pure.
F***ING.
!!!!!A*W*E*S*O*M*E*N*E*S*S!!!!!

...and poured it into the mould of a fighting game...

...they called it...

Fighters Ragnarök (YouTube footage)

Yes, it's for 2 players. :)

It's a shame that, that game can not be bought the days. Didn't get it then and now it has become close to inexistant.

Nope.
But I do remember about a "Mask Battle" game:
Mask Battle

There are some cool games on the MSX-FAN Disk Magazines!
Like:
Slime World [1 player RPG with FM music]
Some game about two hedgehogs racing against time (Snatcher SCC music).

Also there were a lot of cool demos on the MSX-FAN disk magazines ...

@DemonSeed: Fighters Ragnarök! I forgot it!! I remember playing it in a friend's house... Too bad I don't have it... It's like Street Neo Fighter II, isn't it?
Nooooo, do you mean the MSX 'version' of Street Fighter?
IMHO, that one is just a joke. Smile
Fighters Ragnarök is obviously heavily inspired by the SF series but stands on its own and is the only true MSX fighting game since Yie-Ar Kung Fu II. Big smile

I think so, too. I bought it back then for only 25 guilders, with manual and stuff.
I tried to contact the former distributors, as well as the developers, without succes.
If I'm 100% sure this game is 'off the list' then I'm going to distribute copies.

Where were those Sum games published?

@~mk~: I don't know "Test driver" but I remember a game by T&ESoft, hidden in a disk magazine or something. It was a top view racing with only 6 tracks. I can't rememeber where it was found but I know it was something like a special disk or a disk magazine...

There were times that a game was published into various disk magazines at once ... It seems that their somehow traded games into their sections (of course the game titles were credited). There is even one number from MSX-FAN Disk Magazine that has Thexder as the main game!
