The Russian Bear Service Crew keeps'm coming with yet another cool hardware project for the MSX system. The MSX Spectrolyzer is a Light Emitting Volume Unit cartridge that lights up your audio output. A pure visual enjoyment to dance to. Plans are available for any one to produce the Spectrolyzer in cartridge format.
The Russian Bear Service Crew, or RBSC for short, is known for their excellent Carnivore2 and other hardware. The crew has an international setting with MSX hardware experts located world wide. Their latest member Pyhesty developed a new project for fun and enjoyment, called Spectrolyzer.
The Spectrolyzer is an MSX cartridge project that will turn your MSX audio output into a visual enjoyment. The cartridge is fitted with an array of LEDs to create a Volume Unit that will show the audio spectrum in bright lights. While we could spend words describing the thing, why not just check out this YouTube video. Nuff said, right!?
More info about this flashy project can be found on the RBSC Spectrolyzer web page or the official documentation page. The project's files are available at the RBSC Github repository.
For hardware manufacturers that are interested, contact the RBSC for the firmware and the board's CAD files.
