From May 4th to May 6th the annual RetroMadrid fair is to be held in Madrid, Spain. Traditionally, MSX is very well represented during this fair, as its roots go as far back as the MadriSX meetings that were held since 1995. Combining the MSX roots with other retro platforms has proven to be a succesful formula, as nowadays RetroMadrid tends to receive more than 1000 visitors.

In the list of exhibitors we find one MSX related standholder so far, Martos, who is to release a DVD which contains scans from MSX Magazines released between 1980 and 1990.

Another interesting aspect of the event is a roundtable on digital preservation, where Andreas Lange of Computerspiele Museum Berlin/KEEP, Marco Accordi of AIOMI/IVDC and Moacyr Alves of ACIGAMES are to discuss the challenges and importance of video game preservation. Martos is to join in on this discussion as well, as one of the initiators of MSX software preservation.

The location for this years' RetroMadid is the massive Matadero Madrid, located on the Plaza de Legazpi. A route description can be found (in Spanish) over here.
