Starting today, Matra launched its new Shockware service. Similar to INK: Exxon Surfing, which they released last year, games released in the Shockware programme are new MSX games on cartridge(!). Apart from INK: Exxon Surfing, two games have been released under the Shockware flag now: Karoshi's Saimazoom and Griel's Quest for the Sangraal. Both have been released in MSXdev'05 and are now physically available on their intended medium!
Matra has also interesting news for software developers: they can release their software on cartridge too! In addition, Matra can provide conceptual art for a game (i.e. labels, cartridge box, etc.), but these may also be provided by the developers themselves. On their website you can find how to make use of this service.
