A few days ago, we reported about ObsoNET, an ethernet card for MSX. ObsoNET will be a 10Base-T card, Konami cartridge sized and with a RJ45 connector. It will have a BIOS with routines to send and receive packets and it will also hold routines for basic configuration tasks. The BIOS will be stored on a flash memory, so it will be easily updateable. There will be enough free space on the flash memory so an adapted DOS2 or any other useful software application can be installed on it in the future. An adapted version of Internestor Lite is being made.

The developers have dedicated a website to their project. You can check it out right here. There are already some pictures available! Also, the price of the card has been set to 50 euros.

so uh.. are there any results of your talks with Sunrise? I read on your site that there's a limited amount of cartridge-cases while it's not sure that you'll have new ones. One of the things I like from Sunrise is that their hardware comes in a nice cartridge Smile (opl4, g9k, CF etc.)

(that's where I see the possibilities .. but hey .. $0.02 Smile )

I agree with wolf, the cases are important.

I hope that you can get more cases and that they'll be well shaped for the RJ45 connector/leds/switches.

The more professional the cartridge looks=more sales.

BTW, is there no one nowadays in this world manufacturing MSX Konami sized cases?

Ademir Carchano sold/sells some cartridges in Konami sized cases. Maybe he still has stock of them... Also Ese Artists' Factory seems to have cases of that size.
