On the 27th of september 2012 in Japan the first YS game for the new Playstation Vita platform is going to be released: YS - Foliage Ocean in Celceta.

This game is considered being the true sequel to YS III: Wanderers From Ys. Of course, Tonkin House's Ys IV: Mask of the Sun and Hudson Soft's Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys have also been released, but YS - Foliage Ocean in Celceta has been developed by Nihon Falcom and therefore truly deserves the title YS IV.

What makes it even more interesting is the YS 25th Anniversary Pack which features, next to the game YS - Foliage in Celceta, a CD containing many famous YS tracks, amongst them some original MSX released versions. You can read all about it right here. More information on the CD tracklisting can be found here.

I'm playing through Ys Origin just now, will play Oath in Felghana next and Celceta might be a good choice after that. Too bad it's for the PS Vita, which I don't have...

Ys Origin and Felghana are great, the same with Ys Seven. I like the gameplay more in Origin / Felghana, but the story is fantastic in Seven.

Ys Seven PC (Chinese) Limited Edition - Amazon.cn version

I recently ordered the PC version of Ys Seven (only available in China) as a limited box set, and we're currently working on a way to insert the English PSP files into the Chinese version to get as much as we can into English. So far we've been able to change the entire game script into English, with the Item, Equipment, Character Names, Menus and Maps being left in Chinese.
