Almost a week without a map from only_69, after he released maps each and every day. But he's back with his latest effort: Zanac. This map is like a day out for your eyeballs, with a height of 24672 pixels you'll spend the best part of your lunch studying the vast landscapes to fly over. This 1986 game barely needs any introduction. Made by one of the essential MSX developers Compile, it eventually evolved into the classics Aleste and Aleste 2. For now, happy shooting!

Nice work, Fábio.

You can remove it from the WIP page now...

While talking shooters: can I make a request? Topple Zip! It's a colorful vertical shooter with a map wider than the screen.. Tongue

Wow! How tedious must this have been to map? The game is fun, but the background graphics doesn't have much variation in it.

great work, mapping a shooter seems like a hard job (scrolling, fixing the screenshots etc)

Try Hedefos. Each level is made out of a lot of different parts that are randomly glued together each time you play it.
