A part of the Samanet - Sargon website has been updated. This time, the product info section was changed completely. Information of every product ever released (or planned to be released) by Sargon, including screen shots, can be seen in one glance now.

Also, screen shots of the English translation of Firehawk were finally added. Firehawk English might finally be released at the fair in Bussum.

Haha... We (Sargon) got every piece of graphics, music and code that was ever designed for Nosferatu in order to finish it. But it was simply too difficult to get a grasp on someone else's code. Besides, if I remember correctly, Jan van Valburg coded everything in Gen80 and Jan and Aaldert (the Sargon proggers) generally used WBASS.

I remember you had part in Nosferatu as well, but I don't remember which part that was. Were you the original coder?

The Nosferatu material ended up at Klaas de Wind's place. Some people of MCFN wanted to try and finish it. I don't know what happened with it after Klaas passed away, however.

Haven't heard anything from John Robin for the past six years or so. I, too, don't know what happened to him. The same goes for Hans. He did submit some music for Twisted Reality 2, which is still to appear somewhere in the future, however.

Yeah, that whole nosferatu project was initiated by us. Unfortunally we we're too bussy building the kernel which would eventually speed up coding. But it took a bit longer than expected, we wanted it to be really good and trustworthy.

I already made an overall engine for Nosferatu, and an animation engine was 80% done (used it later on Fubsy) Hans had made a TON of music (like 30 pieces) and Joh Robin made excelent GFX. A plot was in development, so were the maps.
But we never got to finish it though.. such a shame. (oh, Pieter also made like ONE piece of music...the lazy bastard. ahum)

When I met Jan van Valburg and thought him some assembly stuff and showed him what we had planned he was interested in participating. We decided to 'give' hime the project 'coz we had little time on our hands (had to do some muzax series etc. ppfff))

So the nosferatu project moved to team Element (Jan van Valburg, John Robin Smith and Hans Cnossen) and they had the great plan to port it to SNES. So they did, so they failed.

the rest of the story is unknown to me, untill know that is. But it is funny to see how a project that size gets doomed, even when all music and gfx is superb. lazy coders eh

euh, no you can't (yet)
however check sargon's site, look for the 'guide throught' gameworld.. the devil on display for example was Nosferatu material.
(and YES J.R. did NOT use anti-alias, I had to re-arange them GFX all of the time...)

Why did you write " 'guide throught' gameworld", by the way, Ro?
