Gray gray!
grayone gray one for me !! \o/ \o/ \o/
Why not pack all console backgrounds, set this one as default, and leave the rest up to the user? That way, I'll have my tubes and everyone else has his/her grey background
I'd like a very very very dark one.
Luckily we can indeed pack them all, or anyone could make one himself and use it in his own openMSX.... THe whole point here is: which one should be the default?
Note that there are already about 5 or 6 alternative backgrounds packaged with the current openMSX release.
Just think of what the user will do in the console... Will he open it to enjoy the fabulous background? Guess not... Does he want to show his friends the amazing photoshop skillz of the openMSX team? Don't think so either.. The user just wants to type in some commands.. And he likes to able to read what he typed... also 10 lines back... So which background is best? The one with the highest contrast and the least distractions...
Drop the fancy gfx if you want usability...
Since we are not on an msx anymore and we should think a bit about design the choice for me to revamp (no phun intented) the background was easy.

Damn, just as we were thinking about adding support for animated backgrounds
