I have enabled the user contact form on the website so it's active by default. You can access it by going to a user profile (click on Meits' name!) and select the 'contact' tab from the top left.
If you don't want this contact form to appear, you can disable it in your profile.
another idea:
I've seen on other forums that you can view in certain forumareas who is online and in which thread that person is (viewing)
you stalker you ;p
Haha
Just to see where all the action is, or to know when some1 is online to ask a question and have more chance for a quick reply
Hm, well, technically:
- If you ask x to person y at 15:00 and he's not available until 19:00 then you'll have to wait four hours.
- If you ask x to person y at 19:00 then you'll have to wait four hours too - assuming you actually want to know the answer at 15:00.
you know what i mean, you see, it is not meant as a chat, more as internal email within MRC
Who's online: Wolverine_nl, wolf_, hap
you click on hap's name and you sent hap a personal internal message, then if hap is still online, hap should see a little number appearing next to his name and after clicking on it, reveals the message and is able to reply on it.
it is technically very intense to get it around the excising MRC, it would mean a internal messaging system.
....yes maybe too much
Internally we have debated about a private message system, and decided against it. We'd like to have the communication in the open (forums, wiki) as much as possible, and having a private message system would likely result in private discussions in stead of on our forums.
Enabling the personal contact form for each user is about as far a private messaging system as I'd like to go right now
Ah, I expected that it wouldve been discussed
Another thing I noticed is that some thing you cannot change the order from, if you go to Articles, then you cannot order them by date
Editing (one's own) comments became impossible? Also still missing a preview option for comments (like any other site has).
