I tried fony demo disk #1 and some disk which features all konami scc music. Martos made it? Anyhow... Both dont work...

They probably just write to the correct i/o port, i'd say....Shouldn't it just work?

Fony demodisk #1 does say it can not find an scc and wants me to confirm the scc is in slot 1. Which I then do, of course...

Help please! I have messed up my MegaFlashrom SCC+

I edited my autoexec.bat file using the method shown on page 5, but when the OPFXSD function finished it said 'insert a command2.com disk in drive a:' - I tried this but it just kept coming up with the same message.

When I rebooted, it just got to a blue screen and hung.

I have used the up arrow to enter recovery mode and deleted the ROM disk (option 3). Now when I boot, it loads straight into MSX Basic.
Can you let me know how I get it back to boot into MSX-DOS as before? Please assume that I am an idiot and need very simple and easy to understand instructions.

Many thanks for your help.

Put the files NEXTOR.SYS and COMMAND2.COM on a floppy disk and copy them from drive C to drive A? Or just put these files on your sd card using a pc...In the root directory.

Thank you sir! Working fine again now. I don't think I will bother with the ROMDISK from now on. Really appreciate your fast reply.

Go back to page 12, i haveposted the same question regarding Fony demo 1 and SCC related demo's.
Press "S" during boot and it works.
But I agree it should just work !

Latok said he is running the software from floppy, not loading a DSK.
So the problem is that Fony Demodisk #1 and konami SCC music disk does NOT search for the SCC correctly.
If you put a real SCC in a slot expander (i.e.: subslot 1) and run that sofware, the SCC will not be found. Is the slot expander broken/buggy? I don't think so.

It seems the device is not working in 7 Mhz mode. Does anyone else have this problem ? My MSX in not responding anymore when i switch 7 Mhz on. If i turn 7 mhz on while booting the msx isn't able to detect the device it seems..

I have not tested on a 7 MHz computer. But probably the problem is related to the clock signal in the slot. The MSX Technical handbook says that it must be 3.579 MHz.
If you have a different clock rate, any hardware connected to the slot that uses the clock signal could fail (i.e.: a real SCC will sound wrong).
Perhaps, enabling a 3.579 MHz clock signal in the slot will fix the problem.

About the DSKROM.ROM:

When using the standard BASIC.BIN to play Moonblaster 1.4 (for MSX Music/MSX Audio) the MSX Audio sample addresses are nuked. When playing a Moonblaster music disk made in asm, all is good. When playing the music with the new BASIC.BIN all the samples behave again...
Now I don't really feel like replacing alle BASIC.BIN files (renamed/hidden/etc) on all the Moonblaster music DSKs I have on my SD cards. But having isolated the "problem" a bit, is it possible to fix DSKROM.ROM so it plays samples like they should be played when flashed?

That would be highly apprecijezus
