I actually use some of those on a external cartridge with V9938 (CT-80NET) as version upgrade adapter for MSX>MSX2.
TI DRAM works perfectly with the V9938.

RAM ordered, it takes about 5-10 days to get here from the Netherlands 
patience, patience... Once it's up and running, I'll be able to check if my RGB cable is wired correctly, for now I'm letting the machine take a much deserved rest.
The mini board looks a bit like a battlefield, I'll clean it up as much as I can but won't touch the soldering job as it works as is. If one day I find spare, I'll replace it.
