Finally the FlashROM 512kb cartridge boards arrived. These boards are based on original Eric Boez's design and were reworked for more flexibility. The type of ASCII mapper (8 or 16 bit) can be set with a selection of jumpers, there's also an option to use normal capacitors instead of tantal ones. Here's the picture of the board:

I have 6 boards available for sale. I can also provide the address of the LZ93A13 mapper chip's supplier as I am not going to sell those chips myself. The board costs 4 euros with 2 to 4 euro shipment within EU depending how many boards is in the package. Please contact me if you are interested to purchase these boards.

Got the e-mail, Emil. I will reply soon.

I assembled 2 cartridges and tested them in 8 bit and 16 bit mode with several games. All is fine. I would like to thank Eric Boez for his good original design. Here is the pic of the assembled cartridges:

To flash ROMs into the cartridges you can use the files from Eric's webshop:

Only 8 Smile but all are needed to set either 8 bit or 16 bit mapper mode. So you can use one cartridge in 2 different modes.

The ascii8 mapper is the most versatile. because flashing software made by Gdx auto patch most of the 16k, 32k Roms and also Konami megaroms.

I think the Eric Boez's design is better because jumpers are not useful when the PCB is into case and the contacts are not gilded.

I have a MegaFlashROM of 128KB that can switch 8K-16K with a single switch. Is this not achievable with a 512KB Flash? The only constraint is that we need to switch it only when the MSX is turned OFF.

Original MegaFlashROM ASCII cartridges can select 8K or 16K mode by software.
