The wiki says Sony_HBI-55 is emulated. I tryed it on OpenMSX 0.15. I seems very buggy. It's unusable.
It has been fixed in the latest openMSX development code. Please try it out.
I see a lot of activities on the WIki pages, which is a good thing. Also with a lot of code examples which even a better thing. But some of this examples do not comply with the MSX coding best pratice, which is a bad thing. I am wondering how we could improve on this subject. Any toughts ?
Although they have an S1985, the Sony HB-F1XD and Sony HB-F1XDmk2 do not have a memory mapper on their 64kB RAM. (Updated so in openMSX configs and Wiki).
For the Sony HB-F1II and Sony HB-F1, what do we know? The Wiki says it has a memory mapper, but that seems unlikely. Do both have S1985 anyway? It's not clear for me from the photographs.
EDIT: as can be seen in these photographs, both do not have a memory mapper:

Question is still whether they have an S1985 or not.
Check the PCB detail photo of the HB-F1II, bottom right you will see the S1985. I will open up my HB-F1 later to confirm S1985 (or disprove it obviously).
Here is proof:
@sdsnatcher73 : can you provide a picture of the back side for the Daewoo DPC-200 (FR) ?
Also a picture of the label would be welcome.
Zeilemaker54, What are you talking about ? Be more precise!

I think Sony HB-F1II and Sony HB-F1 don't have memory mapper because MSX2 with 64kB RAM usually don't.
Contrary to what is indicated in the wiki, the Panasonic FS-A1 that uses S1985 do not have memory mapper for example. And if I remember correctly, the mapper is activated on some 64K MSX2s only when adding RAM chips into the empty locations (if there are any).
FS-A1 and FS-A1mk2 indeed do not have a mapper, A1F and A1FM do have one (and can be upgraded to 128kB using empty spots on their respective motherboards).
According openMSX, FS-A1mk2 has a memory mapper ... What is wrong???
