I think in the early days it was a common mistake to assume MSX2 had a mapper by default (of course in Europe most actually did of course)

Actually, when I say 'backside", it's not the underside, but the side with the connectors.

The machine was bought (and originally sold?) in Belgium. I think if it were to be sold in France it would be required to have Peritel RGB connector.
