Cool! you keep loading while audio and video are playing. Any special trick to avoid problems with the interrupts ?
Have you limited the max number of bytes per frame with an ad hoc encoding ?
I have no idea how the author achieved this, I am not the author, I just inserted a link here.
This is really impressive.
I've had this version online for some time already: https://homebrew.file-hunter.com/index.php?id=badapple
Some different versions to download: https://download.file-hunter.com/Demos/Bad%20Apple/

Nice, thanks! But just a heads up: it seems to have been made for PAL. Since it's running on a Japanese machine now, it plays too fast. ;)
Any chance of also adding the MSX2 version?

The music was made for 50Hz, the demo for 60Hz. Just check this page at the bottom: https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/general-discussion/bad-ap...
As for the MSX2 version: I tried addding it to my site, but I haven't been able to make a working version for WebMSX. If someone is able to make a working disk-image, I will happily add it.
There is an even more impressive MSX1 version of Bad Apple now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJQAEheDoWw
It's huge ROM (2MByte) with FM-Samples. But it runs on a normal MSX1. It's a lot smoother compared to the previous version. Very VERY impressive.

Damn that looks and sounds awesome, thanks for the heads up! It runs great from Carnivore2, just fired it up couple of times. ROM needs to be flashed, it doesn't work with SofaRun. Or at least I didn't manage to get it to run with SR.

The ROM is 2MByte, and the Carnivore 2 mapper is only 1MByte. So flashing is indeed the only option.
It's great, thanks for the info.
