I'm trying to load:
-Deep Dungeon: loads with ODO, but after the tittle screen the machine resets.
-Monster Hunter: Loads with "romload mhunt.rom /s /c". It shows tittle screen, then it starts with a warrior saying he's tired and needs to leave the country. Then the game shows ...the ending sequence!!! Crazy....

any help is appreciated

Thanks

Try them on another MSX (one from the 80s), using same or similar loading options?
If they fail too, you're not loading them properly I guess.

It shows tittle screen, then it starts with a warrior saying he's tired and needs to leave the country. Then the game shows ...the ending sequence!!! Crazy....LOL!

try to load them using ExecROM which is superior.

Here's a link: <just removed the link, because there are rom files there>.

Just google for ExecROM and you'll find it easily.

BTW, one question: One Chip MSX can "emulate/simulate" a megar(a/o)m?

Yes, it simulates megaroms with/without SCC+, ASCII 8, ASCII 16... One way or the other, every game should work on the OCM Smile

@hbarcellos: execrom says "megaram cartidge not found"...
So all I can load with execrom is 32KB roms, not megaroms (because execrom loads them in RAM instead of megaRAM).
I can already run megaroms with romload, but just for curiosity... why does execrom say that? Romload works, and so does ngload...

Execrom needs a MegaRam cart for ROMs with more than 32Kb.

Yes, the problem is that 1ChipMSX uses/simulates ESE-RAM instead of MegaRAM. It has the same use (loading our backups from RAM extensions), but they are slightly different, so execrom doesn't detect or use 1ChipMSX's ESE-RAM.

No problem, I found NGLOAD runs both games with no apparent problems.
I also found out how to load ASCII-8/16 ROM images with ROMLOAD (not related with the issue discussed here, but it allows me to load compile/taito games nicely).

Thanks!

anyway, it should be extremely easy to recompile ExecROM to load all roms on OCM...
Source code is available if I remember correctly.
