Anybody idea's if I can use this IC for a mem.upgrade?
The right IC should be 44256 or 414256. This is the chip used for 256 and 512K mods.
BTW these chips are easy to find in old ISA VGA boards and some Vesa Local Bus ones.
But can the 41464 be used to upgrade the ram to 384kb?
Or can I only use 44256 or 414256??
I started this topic because I read about the 41464 chips in on of these pdf's.

Is it the same chip I'm talking about or not?
Well, maybe you read you should take OUT the 41464 and put IN the 44256 or 414256 ones...
This is what I read:
512 kb Memory extra in NMS 8250, 8255 and 8280

For it we will need the following chips: 12 RAMs 41464 1 74LS670 or 74LS170 1 74LS139 1 74LS125 First we must open the computer and to locate the RAM-chips, they are in a group of 4 (IC-133, IC-134, IC-135 and IC-136). Once located, we must cut pin 16 of each one of them, and bend them sideways. After that solder three 41464 RAM-chips on top of them, etc...
