@foody

OPFX (MegaFlashROM SCC+ loader) has an option to force the ROM games to run on a given language regardless of the machine region.

If you're into JRPGs, then I would advise you to buy a Japanese MSX2+ with built-in FM chip, or a MSX Turbo-R. It's the best way to enjoy those games, since most of them feature awesome FM soundtracks.

Disk games rarely (or never?) detect the machine region to select the language. The ones that run in Japanese had only this language option. Then check generation-MSX website to see if a translation patch for that game exists.

Just for everything including forcing English Big smile Guys, off track here, but are there plans for new MSX hardware expansions such as support for internet or a brand new MSX machine or plan for online games on MSX computer?

The website you guys send me for new games is one..but is there other websites that have all sorts of new indie games?

Lots of MSX games were created in the msxdev competitions… Archives are here. I think they are all MSX1 games because of the contest rules.

Yes there is an MSX network card (e.g. DenYoNet). There isn't much software for it (yet?) though.

Also guys like Tecnobytes and WORP3 are working on new MSX computers.

New MSX computer? This is getting me in full attention? Is it going to be in a sexy case like the Wavy MSX system? Would it have the same feel, touch and color way of the keyboards and keys? Would it support cartridges like the old original MSX system and that boots directly first from cartridges before anything else? Is it going to be in a keyboard case and no boring old any other PC cases? Is it going to have the original custom chipsets like the real MSX or is it going to be an x86 with an emulator behind it?

Is there a website where I can go check about it and see the current status of it? Is it going to be consoley like the original MSX systems? Wil it be backward compatible?

Btw, I found two nice videos on Youtube showing off nearly all MSX models:

MSX - How many computers did you count? Part 1 (MSX1)

MSX - How many computers did you count? Part 2 (MSX2, MSX2+, MSX turboR)

It’s not complete, e.g. I noticed the Sany Wavy 70FD(2) and Zemmix Neo are missing, but still pretty nice to look at. So many…
