Hi Louthrax,
news about the next release of SofaRun?
Bye & Thanks
hi, fails b:
Sofarun is not working on my Sony F9S. It was working not long ago on my Sony HB-75P. Both using the same LPE-SDMMC reader.
It shows the Press Space screen, then when you do it, it dissappears but doesn't show the game list.
Hi Newtmonkey,
Could you try to go to the B: drive before launching SofaRun ?
Let me know of your results !
Hello Louthrax,
Switching to B: and running SofaRun results in the same problem sadly. I can definitely flash/run games from SofaRun with no problem, but enabling Game Master II support causes it to freeze on the
cd B:\SAVES
cd GM2
screen.
The ROM I am using for GM2 works fine in BlueMSX, but is there a particular ROM you are certain works?
Hi guys.
Any news about the next release ?
Hi guiseve,
It's coming !
In fact I've been very busy with SofaRun 2.0 those last months, even if I did not post too much things about that. The most tricky thing was to have a reliable platform agnostic disk support. NearDark send me the sources of their great RunIt tool. I started fixing some things, and slowly end up with a total rewrite of the tool. It now supports file-based disks (both DOS and BASIC), joystick disk change, and does not need memory-mapper read back capabilities (so it will also work on any MFRSCC+SD 512KB cartridge). A vast majority of disk games is now working. Remaining issues are caused by games auto-detecting memory and using different RAM slots than the DOS detected ones, but this is quite easy to patch.
Also, I'm creating a website to put all my MSX tools and stuff in, this takes a lot of time too. I'll also need to update the documentation for both SofaRun and the "new RunIt".
You can expect something in mid-september I guess !
Awesome!
Fantastic.
My MFRSCCSD512K has the readback patch: I hope this would be not a problem.
Could we put some .png images in a for each game to use in the game browser?
Could we use the ones provided, for example, by the most famous bluemsx and openmsx frontend?
Regards, I can not wait to see your new creation
