I agree with Samor. However there are playable 3D games for the MSX: Elite, Red Zone and Return of Jelda.
Red Zone is very good 3D shooter and it gets better and harder on later levels!!!!!
Perhaps we could crossbreed Red Zone and platform jumping to get really neat 3D platform game!
Just leave off flying and modify flying to jumping and add player sprites, then we can see really fantastic HIGH jumping in very low gravity!!!!!! Red Zone already has lots of walls I was talking about earlier!!!!!
How about that?
A game that can be played on network ethernet or though direct joystick connection.
It could be a 3D like Quake or an RPG in which you can cooperate.
Like... Zeeslag, Veldslag, Blokslag and Four on a Row which use the joystick port(s) for data transfer... and F-1 Spirit 3D-Special which also uses the joystick port but in a slightly different way. There's also Triplex, which uses the Music Module MIDI interface as networking system.
Maybe a port of the best game ever: Indiana Jones and the faith of atlantis
Shouldn't be that hard to do. The graphics is quite simple, but the story is great
Perhaps a game like Unreal Tournament, but in 2D: jump, access elevators, switches for traps and blow enemies...
Maybe this is both feasible and appealing...
AD&D looks much like nethack
It should be easy to make any kind of MSX port of Nethack. With DUMAS, you can even use it in a network
MSX should have Dragon's Lair !
Hmm... Wait a moment...
dragonslair 2?
A Card based RPG... Should be feasible and there are some enjoyable titles out there on the consoles
