The Kanji-ROM is the ROM marked Sony on this picture:
Okay the ROM is there, maybe an issue with the ROM itself or the surrounding logic. Also the cap next to the VDP is leaking...
Guess I will have to take it to Omega for repairs.
I purchased a Japanese HC-7, I will dump the ROMs as soon as it arrives.
Sent an e-mail for ya.
I have an Spanish HC-7E. I can confirm the BIOS is the same as the HC-7GB BIOS that can be found online:
C: ... >fc /b hc7ebios.rom hc7gbbios.rom Comparing files hc7ebios.rom and HC7GBBIOS.ROM FC: no differences encountered
Thanks! Wiki updated
The capacitor is NOT leaking they glued an isolator on top, the "HBI interface is resting on it".
Your Hb T600 has some modifications the second drive connector is added.
The ram is expanded to 256 kB
It lacks the correction board.
What is the 'correction board'?
old glue on old caps can look suspicious
I have this HBP-F1C (not yet unpacked). It comes with the disk so I can dump it, the Wiki says a ROM dump is also needed. That would require the ROM to be removed and dumped from a programming tool, right? Or can it be read via the MSX?
