Graphics corruption on The Cure

I am trying to run The Cure on my Toshiba HX-10 but there is graphics corruption.
Using MFR SCC+ SD 512k.
Have tried flashing ROM to cart and also renaming to COM but same result.

Interesting. I just tried my cartridge version of the cure on a jvc hc7 and the same thing happened, it works fine on my msx2, 2+ and turboR.

It's a bug in the 1st version of the game, caused by setting the VDP to 4K RAM mode. It won't happen on MSX2. Cure The Cure with a newer version http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/thecure_multirom.zip

Hap, your version still bugged.

The bug that sets the VDP to 4K RAM mode is not complety fixed. To fix it change following bytes.

000010: 62 -> E2
00001B: 22 -> A2
004065: 22 -> A2

I have found another issue. An OTIR causes a too fast access to the VRAM. To fix it change following bytes.

003835: 3E 00 F3 D3 99 3E 58 -> AF F3 D3 99 3E 58 FB
00383E: FB 21 C0 CA 01 98 00 ED B3 3E 02 ED A3 04 00 -> 21 C0 CA 01 98 00 ED A3 20 FC 3E 02 ED A3 04
00384E: FA -> FB
003851: F7 -> F8

I noticed another bug again: the bats are white on MSX1 instead of gray. I have not found the cause.

Thanks. BTW the one I uploaded is extracted from this funny cartridge https://www.msx.org/news/software/en/multirom-game-collection - I don't know of a newer version.

sorru for the stipid question but never minded about the possibility to update carts with new patches...
me too, I own The Cure and many other "modern" carts, so... are these software stored in eprom/flash memory?
wich are the utilities to re-flash these carts?
