I gussed I destroyed the drive, the cable was connected backword.
fixing the cable didn't fix the problem, also noticed that the flat flex of both heads are cut right the way across.
I don't think it is possible to fix.
I think it is more appropriate to adapt a pc floppy or buy msx floppy of ebay instaed of trying to revive a dead one I have.
if you know of good sellers in ebay or ways to modify pc drives it will be appritiated.

The flat cable leads to floppy heads is hard to fix, so it's better to get a new drive. You might want to ask Bas - as I remember he had a lot of black drives for sale during the last MSX event.

I happen to have some TMS4416-15 DRAMS that I could use for ram expantion, they are 8kbyte rams, not the best but ok for now I guess.

Look, TMS4416-15 are totally useless in the RAM expansion!!! It's not the right size and not the right speed grade either.
Use TMS4464-12 or the equivalent.
I saw some MB8264-10 in eBay I think they will be ok...
