Some of these games have been translated in the mean time... So which are recommended? I guess I should play Malaya no Hirou now??
Malaya no Hihou is excellent for sure, and if you get a chance, I would also highly recommend checking out Sofia -- which doesn't need any translation, as what little text exists is all in English to begin with (though if you don't know what some of the items do, or what your goal is, you might get stuck, so I can fill you in on all that if you're interested).
I would also recommend playing A Life M36 Planet if you haven't yet. Not only is that fan-translated to English now, but I've also prepared a full walkthrough/guide website for it at http://forgottenkings.tripod.com/m36.html !

PayLoad: A 2D GTA game running around Japan with a big truck!!
As far as I know, Malaya no Hihou is only partially translated

The crappy Django translation is indeed partially. The MSXtranslations one is a full 100% translation.
No, it's fully translated, see http://www.msxfiles.com/translations.php
I helped on the translation, MSXTranslations always puts in their best and doesn't compromise.
From the footage I've watched, it seems like a really good translation, yeah. Which is good, because a lot of that dialogue is crucial to solving the game's puzzles... not to mention setting the right mood! So nice job indeed, good sir.

Exelent! It is time to play it again, fully, this time!
