Dungeon Manjiro won;t start

Hello, I;ve been trying to make Dungeon Manjiro work on many emulators, but when the emulator does recognize the .dsk file, it won't run, giving me the error message "Illegal function call in 1020" I couldn't find any info on what that means and how to fix it, maybe the dump I'm using is bad? I am able to see the contents when I enter "files". One person on github said they could run the game perfectly on RuMSX but I get the same error message. I never had that issue with the few tape games I tried, does anyone know if I have to change some settings, or is the dump possibly bad? Thank you for your time.

When this happens, and you type LIST. (yes, with the full stop), what do you see? Alternatively: LIST 1020

This may reveal what's going wrong.

Also important is:
1. where did you get the disk image from?
2. which MSX model are you emulating?

It seems that emulators have no problems to run the game on an emulated MSX2. The issue was apparently with a MSX turbo R, but with different symptoms than what you wrote (hence question 1). See also https://github.com/openMSX/openMSX/issues/1383

LIST. and LIST 1020 give:
1020 SCREEN 5, 0:COLOR 15,0,0:SETPAGE 0,0:CLS

After checking what model I was emulating (Base MSX and Japanese MSX) and re-reading the github post, I tried emulating MSX2 instead and now the game works. I don't know why I thought the game was MSX, everywhere says it's a MSX2 game, I should have paid a little more attention, sorry about that and thank you for your time.
