R800 in FPGA ?
It's not written for now ?
Very nice project by the way ! I will need one for my XDJ
Does this have any possible implications for being able to turn the Zemmix and SX-2 FPGA systems (MSX2+ compatible) into TurboR compatible systems?

At least HRA's version of onechip MSX code already has Turbo-R support (with fast Z80 with R800 multiply). Not sure if that is already in the main KdL version.
From https://www.msx.org/news/msx-revival/en/one-chip-msx-pld-upg...
"HRA has released a new patch for the One Chip MSX VHDL code, changing the following:
Added a turboR (S1990) compatible 16-bit counter on port E6h/E7h
The patches and further documentation (in Japanese) can be found on HRA's One Chip MSX website. The Italian MSX user KdL has been kind enough to release a new version (2.1) of his OCM PLD Pack which contains a compiled version of this update and documentation in English."
Not really sure how this would be implemented and, unfortunately, none of the links to KdLs documentation work.
Turbo-R FPGA emulation doesn't exist for now. Only a few routines, but it's not complete.

AFAIK, we still don't know everything about R800, even today.

It is already fairly complete? You can boot the Turbo-R BIOS and other associated roms. Switching CPUs is there, the Turbo-R timer is are as is the MIDI (out) and pause support. The R800 implementation is "just" a Z80 with added multiply support and it runs at a faster speed. It really feels like running a Turbo-R.
What is missing in your opinion?
@lintweaker: can you show some pictures or better yet a video how the project is at the moment.
Thanks in advance.

I've been running a copy of @HRA! branch (one-chip-msx-kai) on my DE0-CV with DIY DE0CM expansion board. I have not updated it since April 2021. Been tinkering with lots of other projects. HRA! has probably updated it since.
I do not have any pictures of video yet running TR, mabye HRA! does?
