Has anyone tried to run this demo on a real V9990 hardware?
I'm not home, but tomorrow night I'll test it on my powergraph and upload it to youtube
msx2 and powergraph ?
turboR and powergraph ?
Don't forget to set mapper type to ASCII16.
I have tried the rom in turboR and msx2+ as ascii16, and it doesn't show what is in the video/webmsx.
videos attached.
turboR
msx2+ sony
Oh, that's not good...
Any idea whats the issue here? On openMSX with gfx9000 extension it works perfectly.
@erpirao Can you please try this ROM (https://webmsx.org/?PRESETS=V9990&ROM=https://github.com/aoi...) ? It was tested working on a Powergraph Light.
@albs_br So far, I've never come across anything that works on OpenMSX/WebMSX but not on a real V9990 cartridge.
From the video, the program seems to crash (not just a graphics corruption) so if I were to look for a lead, I would look at the status or interrupt register handling.
hello, for a while I will not be able to do tests with the powergraph v9990, it seems that there is a damaged Vram module.
Sorry I can't help during this time.
So the bug on the video don't come from the albs_br's tech demo code?
Another user who has the same problem, when I have a video, I will upload it.
. I mean that the rom fails like me, not that the v9990 is damaged.
I did a test on real hardwar as well ( V9990 Power Graph Light + TurboR FS-A1ST), both give problems:
Samurai Showdown
MSXgl
I did not test these yet on my Sony MSX 2+.
As a cross-check, just to be sure, also tried Ghost'n Goblins V9990 on this setup and that works fine.
