Change the jumper to DS1 but also change the jumper on the B: drive to DS0 (otherwise you have 2 drives acting as B: )

Maybe I haven't understood the question. But if your gotek drive appears as B: in MSX-DOS, you only need to type B: and press enter to be in drive B in MSX-DOS. Or you can refer to any file in B as B:\directory\filename and run it

You can use commands like:

FILES "B:"
LOAD"B:PROGRAM.BAS"

Setting the default drive only became implemented in Disk Basic version 2. However, there's a POKE command that can help you out.

POKE &HF247,1

Set it to 0 for drive A, or 1 for drive B. (credits)
Of course, in MSX-DOS things get a little more easy.

Please note that the poke does not persist on reset so you can’t boot a game from B: drive if that is what you want.
