So THAT'S why they called it project EGG!
^_^
That's quite some nice Zen-theorem Nice one, GuyveR
As of yesterday the Bazix website is online. A correctly translated version of the MSX Logo Policy was published and a press-release which contains information on the future plans of Bazix can be found there as well. Does all this information lead to new questions?
To Henk: Your question already has pretty much been answered by GuyveR800, who clearly has been following the MSX Revival with great attention. For the time being we will be releasing bundled software, which means you receive an emulator with a game embedded. Alas, this means the software you buy at WOOMB.net can't be run on a real MSX. Perhaps that is a next step we can take somewhere in the future.
You could have used a nicer in-game screenshot for DASS really too lazy to play to the latter levels? *grin*
Nah, no biggy, congratz on the launch! And Snout: I'll be in touch sometime next week to see if we can set up a meeting, virtual or otherwise.
We had little time left when we made the screenshots, but I agree with you (yeah, I'm the one responsible for that (and the other) screenshot(s) ) there are nicer screens in the later levels
We can always (and prolly will) update the presskit with new titles and nicer screenshots...
So -for the moment- no software for MSX ... well, I understand the "we must educate the gamers before launching MSX soft/hard" thing, but I think people could become confortable using their PCs for their MSX experience and they'll never use a MSX piece of hardware...
...well, time will tell, for now I only wanted to wish a lot of success in their future projects for people behind Bazix! . And, please, this really looks like a serious project, try hard not to forget your main goals by selling emulators and games. All the english-talking MSX community are now expecting great things from you, so now you must face the responsability of this project and do your best to get that thing growing.
Again, good luck!. I hope you'll do this thing in the right way, for the future of the non-japanese MSX scene!. I'm counting on you guys ! Keep the MSX alive!
And another MSX in the Media nomination?
Thank you very much for your kind words, viejo_archivero. We will do our best to live up to the high expectations and to prove that both Bazix and MSX Association have nothing but best intentions for the MSX Community.
As for releasing software for real MSX computers: As much as we'd like to ourselves, at this stage of the project it's not possible to re-release old software for MSX. I hope we can start doing this as one of the 'next steps' though. Just as happened with the Japanese revival it all starts with a Project-EGG like website (WOOMB) and it can take quite a while before it is possible to take the next step, depending on the success of WOOMB.net.
