Is the MSX the greatest for 8bit equivalent RPG games?

There is no single way in which the PC88 version of Valis II is better than the MSX2 version. No. Single. Way. Sound is better. Gameplay/flow is better. Graphics are better. General style/atmosphere is better. Everything is better. The MSX2 version is the best version. Yes, I have played all versions, and I'm probably the biggest Telenet Japan/Renovation Game nut (still) around. Comparing the MSX2 version of Valis II with anything else (yes, also the X68000 version) is just plain silly. Best version = MSX2.

Honestly, I'm with John on this one, OPLL has just much better and warmer sound comparing to the sharp, harsh and clinical sound of OPN. No point in arguing though as the soundtracks are pretty close, so I understand why someone could like the other too.
