I have been checking online what mags have not been scanned and have been scanning them. I have everything stored on my servers and dropbox, but it would definitely be good to have something central for it. Like now the 'generation-msx' covers apparently disappeared... That's something which is so bad... I think it should all be provided to archive.org. As I don't know who runs; http://www.msxcomputermagazine.nl but that might be gone tomorrow as well ? You never know... There should be plenty of copies somewhere.
I cannot understand the resistance in doing so. Over time these things will disappear etc and we cannot let that happen.
I don’t think there is any resistance… For sure, scanning those magazines is a noble effort! I really appreciate it, I love browsing through old magazines.

The magazines on msxcomputermagazine.nl were scanned by Wammes Witkop and other former MCM staff themselves. I really appreciate that they went through the trouble to do that, it was a great initiative. They invested a lot of time and effort in it and even did their best to contact all their writers to ask for permission. Let’s respect that effort and let that site be the definitive place to find these magazines.
If the site ever goes down there are plenty of copies on hard drives and it can easily be uploaded to archive.org when that happens.
I can scan mine to if there is a interest but missing some to
Tomorrow I can get the pile of mags and write the numbers I have here
Maybe we can complete it with each other
@slowerisbetter the magazines did indeed disappeared from GenMSX since I launched the new site. In the old site it where some kind of html pages and now everything is database driven It's still on my todo list to add them again (the site is ready for it), but i just need to find the time for it
But if you are willing to help adding those magazines back, just let me know
At the moment i'm implementing a plugin for issuu.com where i uploaded my scans (http://issuu.com/sndpl/) and many others also did. This way people can view the pdf's online or just download them (and it's doesn't cost me a lot of traffic/space :)).
I can help you it's indeed the time , but i try to make Some time for it

Well I would suggest putting them on Archive.org as well; https://archive.org/details/computermagazines ; they are meant and known for that kind of thing and now they only have French & Japanese MSX mags. They do books as well... It's not only another protection (they have enough funds to go on for a long time); it is also the place where people go when they look for this kind of thing.
