Hi,

This is not SLOT.BAS the following game.

http://www.geocities.jp/hiroshikoubou/page020.html

But SLOT.BAS a utility that shows the contents of Slots. (see picture)

Do you have this utility or equivalent?

It's a bit like MSXMEM2... but a lot more specific, it seems.

I don't know the util and on the websites I can find a reference about it there is no link and they say the author is unknown.

Did come across a japanese wiki about the MSX datapack which might be relevant to some if that was not common knowledge:

We may be able to recreate it if it cannot be found. Finding the RAM, FM bios, KANJi rom and subrom should be realtively easy. They have fixed headers at their start adresses.

Or you could try to ask the person who maintains the website on which you found the screenshot whether the file is freeware/ shareware and if he is willing to share it. That site is still active.

Randam, that site seems to show a lot of interesting information! Lots of stuff about MSX specs (MSX-JE, MBIOS, you name it)

Yeah indeed it has a lot of info. I don't know if the translation project for the msx datapack books is still underway but it might be helpful. Don't know if the text is exactly the same or just similar intent (judging from the text probably the same), but might be useful nonetheless. The highlighted stuff seems not to have been done yet and some info that isn't in the technical handbook like some 2+ info they plan to add too.

But http://niga2.sytes.net/ also has some nice info about all kinds of hardware and software.

@bungeling01 told me ( well he told @hunnyrabi ) that this application is MSAMPLE.BAS in MSX FAN #29 December 1994 issue Disk #1.
I have a digital copy of that disk and I can confirm that. It is very easy to find it on the internet.
Since this application tool works on screen 5, @hunnyrabi coverted it on screen 2 for MSX machines.
I must say "Thank You" to those twitter people.

What is the meaning of the Japanese text in the output of that program?
