The board version 1.2 is basically the same as the last version in our repository. But your version doesn't have the internal/external bios switch. So you should use the "internal.rom" 16kb bios file for the EPROM. If you are using the 27c256 EPROM, append the bios file to its end to get a 32kb image consisting of 2 identical 16kb parts.
thank you for your swift answer
now let me find that repository for that parts list..
I decided to revisit this project and make some improvements. Now there will be options to connect the audio output directly to the internal MSX's amplifier and also to properly connect it to the internal slot where another audio hardware might be present. In addition, the board now has properly routed power and ground as well as the amplifier. The logic chips have blocking capacitors now. In addition, there will be an optional ground separation between the analogue and the digital parts of the board. And finally the schematics has been fully re-drawn.
The board and the schematics can be seen below.
I have ordered 10 board to test the improved design. If that works well, I will update the files in our repository.
I would like to see if this new design fix the problem with my Yamaha CX7M/YIS604 + FmPac Combo Ver 1.2 + MFRSCC+SD + SKY JAGUAR (DUAL PSG VERSION) Where the MFRSCC+SD EXTRA PSG never get ACTIVE. That problem not happen with my FmPac Combo ver 1.0 + the same setup from above.
There are no major differences between 1.0 and 1.2 versions of the board except for the better layout that reduces the digital noise (in the latest versions). If you figure this out somehow, please let us know.
The board v1.4 has been assembled and tested. I am quite happy with the result. The project is now released and you can find new files in our group's repository:

I have a few unassembled boards for sale if anyone is interested.
I have three questions:
1) is it SLT pin on JP3 connector an output line out combo-board towards MSX audio mixer+amp+output ?
2) what is the logic for enabling 27C512 flash of pin 2 on JP2 connector ?
3) is 27C512 flash for MSX-MUSIC BIOS and FM-MUSIC BASIC extension ?
Thank You!
Jj
1. The SLT output is for the slot connector (pin 49), the AMP is for the internal amplifier connector - this is described in the readme file
2. The JP2 is a jumper that is used to select higher or lower 16kb parts of the 27C256 EPROM (selecting external/internal ROM image), normally it should stay open; with 27C512 the default selection is internal ROM image
3. The provided ROM images don't have any user interface, they are only used for identification of FMPAC by certain software and for supporting FMPAC playback in Basic
Hello, it's a great project ! Do you think it will fit in a HB-F700 or a HB-F1II ?
I don't have F700 at hand. But knowing the size of the board and the mounting location you may be able to estimate. Even if it doesn't fit as is, there's a way to move it aside. For example on YIS805 the processor's socket is partially covered by the power supply. I made the board that gets installed into the Z80 socket and allows to move it to a free space.
I have both boards available if you need them.
