This feature is available ONLY in FM-PAC. None of the internal or other external cartridges implement that. I think you should be able to recognize this feature from "PAC2OPLL" string, but in real life you can't because some of the clones have used that string as well.

Possible to use 74HC series chips instead of 74LS. When using 27c512, the OE signal must be connected to RD instead of CS1! When using 27c256 the jumper selects first or second 16kb part of ROM image.

Thx to confirm it. The other external cartridges are not official it's therefore normal.
