MSXdev22 #30 1937

MSXdev22 hosts another multi-lingual MSXdev game with both an English and a Spanish edition. An MSX1 platformer where you need to run, jump and duck to get safely to the other side. Not an easy task, no sir. Bomber jets that constantly soar the skies, scourging the surface with their destructive carpet bombing will try to make sure you won't survive, and that you will drop down into a pool of death and despair.

Very nice graphics, and a pair of questions:

The randomic missiles don't help the playability, from my point of view. The screen is destroyed very fast and you can get trapped on it, your only way is to get killed by a missile.
What is supossed to be done when you fall at the bottom of the screen? You reach some kind of pit where a white mask kills all your lives.

2. I haven't checked it yet, but the JPG that comes with the ROM says, "Don't look them in the eye or they'll take you with them." I guess they might be like inverse Boos?

@ joesg: Does the plot of this game perhaps refer to the bombing of Guernica?
If this is the case, we will correct the game description on this site as well as on the official MSXdev one.

Sorry but after some tries I really feel that playability is broken . There is basically no space to avoid the randomic bombs, since the game screen is really small so they directly appears above you. It should be very helpful to have a bigger game screen so you have more visibility about what is falling from the sky.
