Description

The MSX-Blaster OPL4 is a MoonSound-compatible cartridge manufactured by 8bits4ever.

It is actually based on the Wozblaster, originally made by Gustavo Iriarte and later reworked by Eugeny Brychov to intregrate almost components used to control the OPL4 in a CPLD chip, thus reducing heat and power consumption.

The first version had 1MB to load and play user samples, but it has been upgraded to 2MB since version 2. There is also 2MB ROM containing 330 mono factory samples (Yamaha YRW801-M General MIDI).

Official price: €100.00 for the v1, €120.00 for the v2.

Since V2 rev.2.5, it includes a high signal-to-noise ratio circuit fix for better audio output.
