Description

Original title: 日本語 MSX-DOS 2 (Japanese MSX-DOS 2)

The package contains

  • a 64kB cartridge with the ROM part of MSX-DOS 2, version 2 of Disk BASIC and all the MSX-BASIC instructions for the Kanji screens, generally known as Kanji BASIC - however, a system with Kanji-ROM is required if you want to use Kanji BASIC
  • two 1DD 3.5" disks - One disk includes a Japanese (日本語) version of MSX-DOS 2 which requires a system with Kanji JIS1. The other disk is an English (英語) version of MSX-DOS 2 and will run on any MSX2 system.
  • some manuals.

In July of 1988, ASCII released two editions. One without additional RAM in the cartridge, and one with a 128kB Memory Mapper. The one without additional RAM requires an MSX2 with at least 128kB of memory installed, while the one with RAM can run on any MSX2. Later in 1989, the edition with RAM was upgraded to 256kB for the same price.
