Flash card interfaces are extensions that allow a Compact Flash, MMC, or SD card to be used as a disk drive.
The first created interfaces often use a specific FAT12 formatting or specific partitioning so they cannot be read directly on a Mac / PC. The other interfaces use FAT12 or FAT16 formatting but do not support long file names (8 + 3 characters max).
In addition, hidden files and folders can be annoying. Configure your system (Mac, Linux, Windows, etc.) to prevent these files from being copied to the flash card. You can also use an intermediate flash card if your interface has two slots or a floppy disk to transfer files.
